WORK
As a young contemporary artist, he deals with installations, film, graffiti and photography. In works, he often explores relations between cultural existential themes like religiosity, unsettling surreal absurdity, processes of perception of natural environments, disintegration of bodies and tensions of socio-political environment.
CONCEPT
Absurdity as a point of transcendence. Thinking of absurdity in a gallery that doesn’t just shock but has emotional connection on the viewer, I turned to nature. Recreating alive nature inside of a gallery strikes at the core of our relation to nature and produces the discussions of our footprint on the biological life. Thinking towards preserving the palimpsest of natural environment, we know most green-spaces are augmented or “human- curated”, but it still feels as if it’s “natural”. Hence the additional “twist” is necessary, to expose the underlying channels of augmentation.
